Our Story
Hi there! We’re Quin and Monique, the proud owners of Being Salon, nestled in the heart of the Issaquah Highlands. Our journey began over a decade ago, when we packed up our dreams and moved from California to Seattle sight unseen—a decision that forever changed our lives.
Before becoming a stylist, Monique managed Gene Juarez Salons, where she discovered the endless opportunities in the beauty industry and found her calling. After a year in the Pacific Northwest, we returned to California, where Monique made the leap to get licensed as a professional stylist.
After three years in California, we took our talents to Louisiana, where Monique flourished as an Aveda stylist and educator. With three beautiful children, countless hours of hard work, and an unwavering vision for the future, we set our sights on returning to Seattle—the place where it all began.
Quin, a professional photographer for over seven years, has always had an eye for detail and a passion for creativity. Now, he’s combining his love for art with his talent for precision as he pursues his dream of excelling in the beauty industry.
At Being Salon, Monique is a blonding specialist and haircutting expert, creating radiant looks that empower her clients to shine their brightest. Meanwhile, Quin is our resident junior stylist and has focused his energy on crafting an exceptional blowout bar, adding a fresh and exciting dimension to our salon.
